My name is Beth Stapor. I am a full time Reiki Teacher and Practitioner living on beautiful Dale Hollow Lake which is nestled in the middle of the Upper Cumberland Mountains, in Tennessee, USA, halfway between Knoxville and Nashville.

Reiki has been a part of my life, since the summer of 1994. In November of 1993, I became seriously ill. For the next seven months, I went through a variety of medical tests, with no definitive diagnosis, yet I continued to be depressed, fatigued and have impaired vision. In June of 1994, I went to my chiropractor’s office and found a book on Reiki in the waiting room.

I had just read the "Celestine Prophecy", with a new understanding of the synchronicities of life; I had felt the Reiki book, being in his office, had been some kind of "sign" for me. (I had been a client of his for 9 years, and this was the first day there had been a book on Reiki in his waiting room). After I had read the book, I had made an appointment with the author for a Reiki session.

On June 16th, 1994, my health and life changed dramatically. In a period of 24 hours after my first Reiki session I had gone from total illness to total health. All the people who saw me on a daily basis could not believe the difference in me, and I felt as if I were one of God's miracles. After experiencing such a miracle in my life, I wanted to know all I could about this Reiki that had healed me.

I began taking Reiki Classes in August of 1994, receiving Mastership training in September of 1996. At the point that I was ready to become a Reiki Master, I began a special search for the person, from whom I would take this training. I was very fortunate to be placed in contact with Laura Ellen Gifford (Laurelle Gaia).

As I met other teachers within the International Center for Reiki Training, I was very impressed with how they lived Reiki in their everyday lives, how they presented Reiki with love, in a caring and non-judgmental way, while knowing that each of us is on our very own path of growing and learning. I realized I wanted to become a part of this professional program of licensed teachers sponsored by the Center. In November of 1997, I became a Licensed Reiki Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training. I am now a Senior Licensed Teacher with the Center.

I have really loved Reiki for what it has given me, and for what I have seen it doing in the lives of those individuals, with whom I have worked as a Teacher or Practitioner. I have seen the benefits of Reiki helping people with depression, emotional problems, physical aches and pains, and helping with the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. I have been blessed as a Center Licensed Teacher to travel nationally and internationally teaching Reiki. I have committed myself to daily Reiki self-treatments and have felt that this practice has given me the strength to accomplish things, which I have never thought I was capable. My daily ritual also has continued to help me  stay physically healthy.

I am a Usui, Tibetan, and Karuna ReikiŽ  Master.  I am also a psychologist, National Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Tennessee. I have held a variety of jobs during my travel through life including Art Teacher, Pre-school Teacher, Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Counselor, Professional Counselor at a regional university, and mother to great children, Christopher and Wayles (Wayles became a Reiki Master in 1998).

In my private work, I use my counseling training to help clients when stored thoughts, feelings, events or memories are brought out in a session. I also use Reiki energy to do healing in the ethic bodies.

Since September of 2000, I have been expanding my consciousness as I have begun to work with the Divine Feminine energy through the healing energies of Grandmother Spider. I have begun to realize several important facts. For every force there is an opposing force and the two must be in balance for there to be harmony. I believe that there has to be a balance between the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine for peace and harmony to return to our planet Earth. I am really pleased to be called by Grandmother Spider to be one of her daughters and to work with her energy. For more information see the page on this website on Grandmother Spider.

I love talking about Reiki and welcome you to write to me. Blessings, Love, and Peace...
